Cecil Mleshsane Resume as Mr SA 2011 semi finalist

“Cecil Mleshane” Resume as Mr. South Africa 2011 Semi-finalist.
Cecil  Mleshane was born in Tshiawelo ( Soweto) on the 13 January 1984, Raised by two amazing parent Mr. Simon Mandla and Mrs. Tolerance Mleshane who taught him two key principals of life, to know and acknowledge his creator (God) and established a strong conviction that Education heals, give self confidence, Hope and Open Doors. His 1st hand experience of community work and people skills is seen in his multi lingual abilities to speak nine South African languages

Cecil is commonly known by his peers to be warm-hearted, conscientious, and co-operative, want harmony in his environment; work with determination to pursue his dreams, likes to work with others to complete tasks accurately and on time, loyal and follow through even in small matters. He notices what others need in their day-by-day lives and try to provide it and he wants to be appreciated for who he is and what he contributes. This is further strengthened by his multi lingual abilities.

His achievements include being SRC President, former Chiawelo Community Youth Project Specialist, and former Youth Minister of Education in Gauteng, former FNB Vibe Champ Spokesperson, FNB Volunteer Member, First Aid, and former Mr. South Africa Semi-finalist 2010, a ramp model for the SA Fashion Week and recently graduated as Public Relation NQF Level 6 with University of South Africa (Unisa).

On the charity angle, he is currently an ambassador for St Ives primary School which is his former Primary School since he is introducing a PR Solution project in the School, and also adopted The Chrysalis Foundation and currently raising funds for the organization.

This journey of contesting and being chosen as Mr. SA semi-finalist for the second time has helped him to established an intrinsic motivation to pursue this dream even further, since he has been preparing himself for Mr. SA 2011 emotional, physically, spiritually and mentally and this could be seen in his personal investment as he has currently completed a PR management course with Unisa and he has been reading a lot of spiritual material about humility, Internal beauty and self discipline and this has made him realize only a humble spirit brings about true greatness.

His contribution to South African value chain is his passion to be responsible, be accountable, to motivate to teach, implement and influence good behaviour in people’s lives.

Cecil Mleshane Personal Day to Day projects - Blood Donation & Ambassandor for St Ives Primary


 Cecil Mleshane is a consistent blood donor since his blood group 0 is known to be the universal blood type as it can be given to patients of any blood group. It is, therefore, the most valued blood type.



Question was asked to the learners: What do they expect from Mr. SA 2011.

Charmain Nekhwerha grade 7 said: I expect MR SA to be a good, kind, loving and caring person. He must show respect, he must never show pride and he must be helpful where he is needed, he must show thanks to the people who voted for him to be Mr. SA.

Tashlyn Bezuidenhout grade 7 said: As a young girl or teenager I would like Mr. SA to be humble, kind, respectful and have dignity. He has to take care of his community and remember where he comes from or he background. I really want him to set example for us teenagers.

Naideen Stoite grade 7 said: Mr. South Africa should be able to give to charity and he must look good and know that he is representing South African youth.

Noxolo Mzaca grade 7 said: I expect Mr. SA not to drink. We need to learn from him because they will give us advice and help us to the better our future and fix our communities or country.
